Beatriz Ortiz
Associate Attorney
Beatriz Ortiz graduated law school and passed the Puerto Rico State Bar on May 2005. She Immediately started working at Ortiz & Ortiz, Law Offices. In April, 2008 she started her own practice, Beatriz N. Ortiz, Esq. law offices in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her practice included Family Law, Civil Litigation and Environmental Law. Since she became a lawyer, she was a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association. As a member, she worked with the Commission against Discrimination for the LGBT Community, the Women's Commission and the Civil Rights Commission.
The work Beatriz did in these commissions included giving seminars to other attorneys and representing low-income clients, pro-Bono. She represented and litigated the second adoption of a same sex couple granted in Puerto Rico. She moved to Maryland on December 2017, and started working in Immigration Law. Beatriz is a native Spanish speaker committed to help the Hispanic community in the United States.
